A car dealer in Moscow defrauded a pensioner of 150 thousand rubles because of the chip in the mirror of the car he bought from a friend. In this respect reported “Moscow Prosecutor’s Office” on the Telegram channel.
According to the department, a man in a Toyota spotted an elderly driver driving a Nissan, waited until he parked and demanded money from him for the alleged accident. He also called car repair shops regarding the cost of car repairs. The attacker’s Toyota had a chip in its mirror frame.
“The fraudster showed the damage to his vehicle’s mirror and demanded immediate compensation. “In fact, the Toyota car belonged to his friend and he was not involved in any accident involving the victim’s vehicle,” he said.
The elderly driver went home to get money and gave the suspect 70 thousand rubles, after which the car dealer took him to the bank and the Nissan driver took another 80 thousand rubles.
A criminal case was filed against the 46-year-old suspect on charges of fraud.
