The Rossa supercar is similar in appearance to the Marussia cars to show continuity. Designer Igor Ermilin, who in the past was the chief designer of Marussia on the bankrupt project of showman, singer and racing driver Nikolai Fomenko, told socialbites.ca.
“When new projects emerge, there is distrust towards them in our society. The continuity of the idea was to show that this wasn’t done in a vacuum. Therefore, some elements of the Marussia that still seem valid remained in the Rossa design,” Ermilin said.
According to the engineer, the supercar was given a foreign engine and transmission, brakes, shock absorbers and other components, but the Rossa design used many components developed and produced in Russia.
The car is already capable of driving on public roads, but with this design it does not have access to those roads as it was originally designed for track days at private circuits.
