In Moscow, the museum route of the T trolleybus, which has been out of service since April 2022 due to rehabilitation works in the Basmanny Region, has been restarted. In this respect reports Telegram channel “Retrobus: direct injection”.
Circular museum route T opened in 2020. From the square with three stations, it leads to the Krasnoselskaya metro station, Nizhnyaya Krasnoselskaya Street, Elokhovskaya Square with the Epiphany Cathedral, Novoryazanskaya Street and then along Kazansky Station back to the Komsomolskaya metro station. The round trip takes 20 minutes. Trolleybus services start at 08.30 and end at 20.00. You do not need to buy a separate ticket for the trip.
The T trolleybus route is historical: in June 1937, the second trolleybus depot was opened on Novoryazanskaya Street.
It happened before that knownIt was stated that in addition to modern trolleybuses, the museum’s ZiU-5, which was specially restored for these purposes, will be used on the route. The retro trolleybus will appear on the line during the warm season – once a week from April to October. Trolleybuses will operate on the route for two purposes: excursion and linear.
