According to estimates, electric car sales in Russia will reach 12-13 thousand units by the end of 2023. Sales are expected to reach 16 thousand units in 2025 and 220 thousand units in 2030, reaching a 12% market share. According to an optimistic scenario, 483 thousand electric vehicles will be sold in the country in 2035, accounting for 25 percent of the market. It is stated that electric vehicles now have the same share in the Chinese market.
Analytical agency “Autostat” calculated that according to the results of January-October, 10.5 thousand electric vehicles were sold in the Russian Federation (taking into account cars under three years old, which were recorded for the first time in the Russian Federation). This accounts for 1.26% of the entire new passenger car market in Russia. 1.7 thousand electric vehicles were sold in October, and their share of sales was 1.5%.
