Russian joint venture will produce Hongyan trucks instead of Iveco

The former joint venture Iveco-AMT (renamed AMT NV after the withdrawal of its Italian partner) has established a collaboration with Chinese truck manufacturer Hongyan. In this respect reports Interfax.

“In order to maintain the continuity of the range of model vehicles produced, a truck manufacturer named Hongyan, located in Chongqing, Northern Economic Region of China, which produces a similar range of trucks, was selected,” the agency said, according to a statement from the Russian company.

It is planned to produce 100 trucks per month. Currently, two contracts have been implemented with a Chinese automaker for the supply of kits for 108 vehicles.

The facility in Miass will soon start producing trucks for long-distance transportation and municipal services.

Previously it was known that AvtoVAZ Will open St. New engineering center in St. Petersburg.
