The factory in the capital, which recently belonged to the French car group Renault, was given a new name. Now it is the Moscow automobile factory Moskvich, writes Izvestia. This is apparent from an entry in the database of the Unified State Register of Legal Entities (EGRLE).
So, the date of birth of the new enterprise was June 3, 2022. From the same day, the management of the enterprise changed – Jan Ptachek was replaced by Dmitry Pronin, who was previously deputy head of the Moscow Ministry of Transport and Road Infrastructure Development.
As the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, said, the new venture will produce cars under the revived Moskvich brand. Negotiations are currently underway with two Chinese car manufacturers. The new cars may go on sale this year.
