In Krasnoyarsk, a criminal case for abuse of power was opened against two traffic police lieutenants who forced a sleeping car owner to get behind the wheel and then detained him for drunk driving. In this respect reports Telegram channel Baza.

According to him, in mid-June 2023, the police received a report that a car was blocking passage. Traffic police who came to the scene saw the BMW owner sleeping in the backseat of his car. They asked a passerby to wake up the man and move the car. As soon as the driver got behind the wheel and started moving, he was stopped, taken out of control and sent for a medical examination. This showed that the man was drunk.

Later, a criminal case was filed against the detainee for repeated driving while intoxicated. However, a few months later, information about the incident reached the internal security department. As a result, a criminal case was filed against the traffic police themselves for abuse of power. Liability for such a crime is imprisonment from 3 to 10 years.
