On June 4, the Secret Garage exhibition opens at the Special Purpose Garage Museum of the FSO of Russia in VDNKh, which the organizers present as a fantastic automotive technoverse. This is no exaggeration: the program promises to be truly impressive, if not shocking – in the good sense of the word.
In addition, we can say with certainty that neither a technology connoisseur with experience, nor a representative of the younger generation, nor even a casual passer-by will remain indifferent.
The exhibit combines incredible graphic work by renowned industrial designer and illustrator Andrey Tkachenko and futuristic concept cars and motorcycles from Ford-Market, Trump-Cars, Rockabilly-Garage and other private collections.
Among the exhibits are promised: custom Iron Head car with elements of various Soviet trucks and cars, hot rods based on Ford A – the prototype of the first passenger car of the Gorky factory GAZ-A and Ford Eifel 1935, GAZ- 12 ZiM in Raggare style, all-terrain vehicle Vladimir Kireev “Argo”, a track racing car Moskvich-407 in the rear of a coupe and a rat-rod V8 based on a 1939 Ford Taunus.
Real machines coexist with fictional graphic stories by Andrey Tkachenko, the main idea of which is a reference to the era of the USSR: what might machines of a parallel Soviet reality look like? The public will be able to appreciate the real “dream cars” – innovative, futuristic, detached from reality… And at the same time – so recognizable!
The exhibition will be held in the Interchangeable Exhibition Hall of the Special Purpose Garage Museum of the FSO of Russia at VDNKh. The opening is scheduled for June 4 and the exhibition will last until July 10, 2022.
