Drivers may receive SMS messages from scammers under the guise of reporting a debt for travel on the toll highway. In this respect reports Sputnik radio with reference to lawyer Ivan Solovyov.
“Of the total number of those sent messages, a certain number of people were actually driving along the toll highway. They will try to pay the toll because on the Central Ring Road and some other toll routes there is a barrier-free system: you drive through and you have to pay the toll yourself within five days,” Solovyov explained.
According to him, such mailings are done blindly. Messages are received not only by drivers using a road with a barrier-free toll system, but also by drivers who do not drive on such roads. Attackers are sending fake notifications en masse, hoping for a coincidence.
