Moskvich factory may switch to producing electric vehicles

The main products of the Russian car factory Moskvich will eventually be electric vehicles. In this respect says in a company press release.

“In parallel with existing processes, we are working to organize the production of our own electric vehicle, which will be the main product of the factory. The report states that Moscow plans to become Russia’s largest electric vehicle production center.

Before that, it became known that Moskvich 6 liftbacks began to arrive at Russian dealers. The car will cost at least 2.63 million rubles in Russia, excluding discounts on buying and selling an old car. The new Moskvich 6 is equipped with a 1.5 turbo engine producing 136 horsepower. and a torque of 200 Nm paired with a CVT.

Equipment of the basic “Comfort” version includes 17-inch alloy wheels, leather-wrapped steering wheel, parking sensors, air conditioning, cruise control, keyless entry and LED headlights. Each headlight consists of 142 LEDs and 5 lenses.
