The attacker called the owner of the Toyota Fortuner 2022 SUV, which was offered for sale through an ad. He introduced himself as an employee of an official dealer and said that there was a buyer for the car.
The car was inspected near the car dealership, where the seller and the buyer agreed on the price of the car at 3.96 million rubles. The deal was finalized a few days later, after which the buyer transferred the entire amount to the broker. He transferred 845 thousand rubles to the previous owner and fled with the rest. While the suspect was detained by the police, an investigation was opened against him for theft.
