From January to August this year, 283 thousand cars of Chinese brand were sold in Russia. 603.4 thousand new cars were sold in the Russian Federation in just nine months, reports “Autostat Information”
In January this year, sales of Chinese cars in the country reached 17.2 thousand units, while in August they reached 61.4 thousand units, exceeding the sales volume of other brands in the Russian automobile market (47.1 thousand units).
Sales of Chery cars increased by 305% compared to the previous year, reaching 72 thousand units in January-August 2023. The second place among Chinese brands is Haval, which increased its sales by 231% to 58.6 thousand units in the same period. Geely came in third with a result of 50.4 thousand units. (+305%). Exeed and Omoda are among the top five Chinese brands.
According to the report, the best-selling cars from China in the model ranking were Chery Tiggo 7 Pro, Haval Jolion, Geely Coolray, Omoda C5 and Chery Tiggo 4 Pro crossovers.
