A man stole mirrors of cars worth 1 million rubles in Moscow

Police in Moscow detained a 52-year-old suspect in connection with the theft of mirrors from nine cars. Damage exceeded 1 million rubles reports “Ministry of Internal Affairs Media”.

“According to the police, he had removed the side-view mirrors of foreign cars that had been left in the underground parking lot on Pokryshkina Street for some time. In the statement made by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, it was stated that the attacker sold the stolen parts to third parties.

The attacker used the money he received for mirrors at his own discretion. A criminal case was initiated against him under Part 2 of Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Theft). The maximum penalty is five years’ imprisonment. The man was released on his own recognizance.
