Chinese companies may be involved in the construction of the Dzhubga – Sochi highway as concessionaires. reports RIA Novosti, citing the first deputy chairman of the state corporation Avtodor Igor Koval.
“The Chinese are currently engaged in the implementation of the Southern cluster (Dzhubga-Sochi highway – ed.) … They are exposed as legal entities on the territory of the Russian Federation,” Koval said.
Koval added that entities controlled by a large Chinese conglomerate are interested in participating as concessionaires in various Avtodor projects. He also explained that in this case we are not talking about an intergovernmental loan.
