The president of Tuva, Vladislav Khovalyg, promised to compensate the owners of local gas stations for half of the fuel margin received from the republican budget. This is what he’s talking about reported On your Telegram channel.
“I decided to subsidize a part of the profit share made by local entrepreneurs on fuel costs from the republic budget. We are forced to take these measures because we cannot influence the wholesale market,” Khovalyg wrote.
He added that the Tuva government will compensate gas station owners for half of the target profit they make on their products so that residents can buy fuel at discounted prices. He urged gas station owners to make appropriate agreements with regional authorities and also promised to help come up with logistics plans and conclude new agreements with suppliers.
Khovalyg described the introduction of compensation as a temporary measure and expressed hope that the situation in the fuel market will stabilize in October.
