The police department in the Strogino area received a message that the cars were on fire. Police identified the two arsonists and detained them. One of the detainees said that he was persuaded to commit a crime by a stranger from the Telegram messenger.

“A person I don’t know called on Telegram. I put a condition, I said I will not burn the car, he will find me, he will take care of me there,” said the prisoner, adding that according to the foreigner’s statement, another man should join him. He did not receive money for arson.

A criminal case was initiated on deliberate damage or damage to property and hooliganism (Articles 167 and 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
