The Kaliningrad Avtotor plant has started the production of Brock electric trucks in cooperation with the Chinese automaker Foton. There is a separate production facility for this project. This was reported in the publication of Avtotor, received by socialbites.ca.
“Avtotor’s total investment in this production line has exceeded 130 million rubles. Production of the two models started simultaneously on the plant’s assembly line,” the Avtotor report says.
Two models of trucks, which will be sold in Russia under the Brock brand, were placed on the conveyor at the same time. The Brock 75 truck with the 7.5 tonne GVW is equipped with a 115 kW (156 hp) electric motor and can travel 300 km at constant speed on a single charge. The energy reserve is replenished in 2 hours.
With a gross weight of 16 tons and a 160 kW (218 hp) engine, the Brock 160 has the same range and charging time. Both vehicles are equipped with lithium iron phosphate traction batteries.
The basic chassis will be equipped with special add-ons such as flatbeds, vans and garbage trucks, tow trucks, refrigerators and hydraulic lifts.
