Russian automaker Sollers expects to find a new partner for truck production at a plant in Ulyanovsk, which previously produced cars for the Japanese brand Isuzu. In this respect informs TASS with reference to the Sollers report.

“On the basis of the assets of Isuzu Rus JSC in Ulyanovsk, it is planned to organize the production of trucks in cooperation with a new partner,” the document says.

The completion of the 100% acquisition of Isuzu Rus by Sollers was announced in July 2023. At the same time, Sollers assumed the obligation to supply spare parts for the warranty service and service of Isuzu trucks sold in Russia.

The joint venture with Isuzu was established in 2007. In different years, commercial vehicles with a carrying capacity of 1.5 to 6.6 tons were produced at the plant in Ulyanovsk.
