State Duma deputy Ivan Sukharev addressed the head of the Ministry of Transport of Russia, Vitaly Savelyev, with a proposal to equip cars designed for driving training with video recording equipment. In this respect informs RT
The MP recalled that, according to a 2014 government decree, audio and video surveillance equipment is installed on all vehicles used to pass traffic police exams. At the same time, according to him, the presence of AVN systems is not necessary when giving practical lessons on driving.
“I ask you to consider the advisability of amending the existing legislation in terms of determining the mandatory requirements for equipping training vehicles with AVN systems on which training sessions are held,” the text of the appeal says.
Sukharev noted that the presence of an AVN in a training car will allow the student to obtain a reliable picture of the driving process and to obtain proof of his innocence in the event of an accident.
