Chinese company JAC Group announced a new brand of electric vehicle called Yiwei and introduced the first model, informs carnewschina.com.

Yiwei 3 is a small electric hatchback that will start sales in China in the second quarter of 2023 at a price of 100,000 yuan (about 1.2 million rubles at the current exchange rate). The innovation will debut at the Shanghai Auto Show, which opens on April 18.

The overall dimensions of the Yiwei 3 are 4025x1770x1560 mm, and the wheelbase is 2620 mm. The power plant develops 136 hp, the maximum speed is 150 km / h, and the cruising range on a single charge is up to 505 km.

The new brand will target drivers aged 20 to 35, producing electric vehicles that cost between 70,000 and 150,000 yuan. In the next five years, Yiwei plans to launch four new models based on the new JAC DI platform.
