Drivers who drive a car with studded winter tires and have not yet had time to replace them with summer tires should avoid sudden starts, skidding and driving at high speeds so as not to lose the studs. Tire specialist Sergey Mishin told socialbites.ca about this.

“When driving at high speed, centrifugal force sometimes causes spikes to fly into the cars of neighbors downstream. To avoid this, it is necessary to exclude sharp accelerations and move at a speed of no higher than 90 km / h, ”Mishin advised.

Nails experience the greatest load at takeoff, especially if the vehicle is skidding. The expert stated that they did not encounter a load that could remove them from the tread in braking mode.

“In this case, the wheels press the spikes onto the road. Relatively speaking, they are pressed into the wheel, ”Mishin explained.

Formerly Sergey Mishin said “socialbites.ca” about the danger of re-nailed tires.
