The keys were handed over to the spouses in a ceremony held at the presidential residence in Ankara. The politician’s wife chose a red car, and the head of state chose a dark green car. Speaking at the ceremony, Erdogan noted that the car reached a record number of orders on March 14, the first day it went on sale.
The cost of a car in the market ranges from 48.5 thousand dollars to 63.9 thousand dollars. Togg CEO Gürcan Karakaş said that the annual production volume will be 100 thousand cars, then this figure may increase to 175,000. Exports to Germany, France and other countries are in Europe. It plans to start in a year and a half.
