The Iranian company Saipa has announced its entry into the Russian market. In the first phase, Quik hatchbacks, as well as Saina and Shahin sedans will be delivered to Russia. In the future, they will import light commercial vehicles (pickups and light commercial vehicles) from Iran.

The first cars will be imported into the country under the parallel import scheme, at the same time they will issue the OTTS (Vehicle Type Approval) required for official sale.

Preliminary prices have also been mentioned: they can range from 1 million to 1.7 million rubles, depending on the model and configuration. The warranty for cars is now 80 thousand km (or two years). But the distributor wants to ask Saipa to increase it to 100,000 km (or three years).

The Iranian carmaker also did not rule out locating production in St. Petersburg, without specifying which factory it was.

At the same time, Saipa plans to open up to 120 dealer centers in Russia by the start of sales.

In February, the Saipa car group signed a distribution agreement with the Russian company Best Motors for the supply of three types of cars to the Russian market.
