Modern cars monitor road safety. They have assistants who read signs warning of the risk of an accident, of driver fatigue.
But these cars are not cheap. What to do if these systems are not in your car? A cheaper alternative has been proposed in the United States: a smartphone application that, in addition to the capabilities of a navigator and a DVR, will have the same functions.
In order for the phone to perform these tasks, it must be mounted on the front panel. Studies show that when using a smartphone with such an application, people are less likely to drive faster, miss signs and use emergency brakes.
Rashid Galadanchi, CEO of Driver Technologies, said there are more than 3,000,000 phone-related accidents in the US every year. An elegant idea: using a smartphone, which distracts us and negatively affects road safety, in order to improve that safety.
