JSC State Transport Leasing Company (STLC) has completed delivery of 20 electric trains to the Central Suburban Passenger Company (CPPK) for use on the Moscow Central Diameters (MTsD-3, MCD-4).

In total, the carrier received 18 EP2D and 2 Ivolga 3.0 (EGE2Tv) electric trains manufactured by Transmashholding enterprises. The total cost of transportation was about 19 billion rubles.

CEO of STLC Eugene Dietrich:

“The delivery of new electric trains for operation on Moscow’s central diameters will significantly improve the comfort of daily travel and citizens’ mobility. CPPK is our reliable customer, we look forward to continuing the fruitful cooperation aimed at renewing the suburban passenger transport fleet and launching new routes.

In electric trains EP2D manufactured by the Demikhov Machine-Building Plant (part of Transmashholding) soft seats with USB sockets for charging mobile devices, climate control systems with air disinfection, a wireless Wi-Fi network, additional handrails for standing passengers and bicycle racks. Front wagons have folding ramps, wheelchair supports and spacious toilets.

Volga 3.0 (EGE2Tv)

Oriole 3.0 (EGE2Tv) was created by Russian designers from TMH Engineering based on domestic components. This is the first electric train with a design speed of 160 km/h, designed and produced entirely in Russia. Wide doors allow to speed up passenger exchange by 15% compared to analogues on the Russian market. Chargers are installed in each seat unit, the main car has the option of installing a station for charging electric scooters and a place for bicycles.

The MCD is a whole network of connected railway lines that form the underground metro lines. The first diameters were launched: MCD-1 (Odintsovo-Lobnya) and MCD-2 (Nakhabino-Podolsk). New modern and energy-efficient transport contributes to increasing transport accessibility without harming the environment of Moscow and the Moscow region.
