Driving expert Sergei Kanunnikov collected 10 iconic films of the USSR, in which a large part of the screen time is devoted to cars – in fact, we remember these films largely because of the cars.
And, of course, here one cannot ignore the cult for boys of different generations film “Racers” directed by Igor Maslennikov, released in 1972. The film is well made and still looks good.

The picture appeared in the heyday of the Soviet rally, when our cars and racers also performed well abroad. The main car of the film is the Moskvich-412, which had successfully completed the London-Sydney and London-Mexico City Marathons by the time of the film’s release.
Looks like it’s time to watch this movie again!
