If you drove to the intersection at the green traffic light, but did not have time to complete the maneuver and the red light was on, there will be no penalty for this, said Serhiy Radko, a lawyer for the Freedom of Choice automotive movement.
At the same time, he noted that if there is another traffic light with a stop line further ahead in the direction of travel at the intersection, the driver is obliged to stop on that line.
If the driver has driven to the intersection at the permitted traffic light, but has already completed the maneuver when the red light came on, he is obliged to drive through the intersection to the end. At the same time, the inspector of the traffic police has no right to fine the driver for this, the traffic rules directly indicate this, ”explains the expert.
