The British studio Aubrey Automobiles showed its first completed project: the restoration of the 1973 Land Rover Series III 109. More than 1000 hours were spent on it, the work took 8 months. But the car was not just restored, it was finalized.
The frame is now galvanized, a new engine (petrol 2.25 litres), gearbox, brakes and suspension have been fitted. The steering wheel was moved to the left side and supplemented with electric drive.
The car received even more options for transforming the body than it originally was. The removable roof has been retained, but there is now also a removable roll cage. In total there are 8 body configurations: you can remove the top of the doors, fold down the windshield and so on.
The interior is trimmed in leather and wood, ports for charging electronics, a touchscreen multimedia system and support for Apple CarPlay.
