The American company Buick has updated its logo for the first time in almost 30 years. It would seem that there is nothing unusual about this fact. It is much more interesting where this emblem came from.
The head of General Motors, Mark Reuss, once met with designers, where he saw a sketch of the updated logo. Reuss liked the emblem so much that he decided to replace the old sign.
Previous version of the Buick logo
The basis of the Buick logo since 1960 has been shields, referencing the coat of arms of company founder David Dunbar and symbolizing the legendary LeSabre, Invicta and Electra models. The shields themselves still haven’t disappeared, but now they look different, arranged in a row and not enclosed in a circle.
