The Russian government has extended the moratorium on the installation of the ERA-GLONASS button on cars produced in the country and on cars imported by private individuals until June 1, 2023. This will be the last respite granted by the government.
Currently, button manufacturers have been able to localize production in the country and thus eliminate the impact of sanctions. They are ready to provide equipment for current demand and support growing imports, including parallel imports.

The end of the moratorium could lead to an increase in the price of imported cars and queues at customs if equipment manufacturers are still unable to provide the required number of buttons. According to ERA-GLONASS regulations, it must be installed after the car leaves customs, but before passing through the lab.
