AvtoVAZ president Maxim Sokolov said that in 2025-2027 the production volume of Lada cars at the St. Petersburg plant (the former Nissan plant) could reach 50-70 thousand cars if there is a positive trend in the market. Plans for this year include production of up to 10,000 cars, subject to demand.
Production of Lada cars, assembled from ready-made car kits, is expected to start in the second half of 2023. Until then, a lot still needs to be done to make the former Nissan factory suitable for the production of Lada.

It is planned to produce three new Lada models at the St. Petersburg plant. These will be more expensive models of the C and D segment, including sedans and crossovers. The production of cars will be carried out in cooperation with foreign companies, presumably Chinese.
