The first copies of the Russian GAZ Sadko Next all-terrain vehicles in the version with a three-door six-person cabin with two rows have reached Australia, reports the local distributor of GAZ, the Australian Adventure Vehicles (AAV) company from Brisbane.
AAV has been offering GAZ Sadko Next trucks to the Australian market since 2021, and under a different name – GAZ Trackmaster. Until now, the model was only available in the standard version with a single row double cab. A pair of six-seater cars were sent to the Green Continent at the end of December 2021, arriving at their destination in March 2022. One is sand colored, the second is metallic gray (it is in the photo).
The “two-row” Trackmaster is designated by the Crew Cab prefix in the title, the machine is built on an extended chassis, has an overall length of 7275mm (including winch) and a wheelbase of 4515mm.
The truck is adapted for left-hand traffic in Australia, that is, it has right-hand drive and controls. The interface of the factory integrated media system is also made in this language.
The off-road vehicle is equipped with universal 7-inch round headlights and parking lights of the “Soviet” type PF-130. The GAZ supplier does not yet produce one-piece headlamps for countries with left-hand traffic.
The truck is powered by a 4.4-liter YaMZ-534 turbo diesel with an output of 150 hp. and a torque of 490 Nm, it is combined with a five-speed manual transmission and a transfer case with a hard-wired front axle, a reduction gearbox, front and rear differential locks. Ground clearance – 315mm, standard equipment includes a centralized tire inflation system. The transfer case is operated with the buttons on the instrument panel. In the basic configuration – ABS, electric windows and cruise control. For the Australians, air conditioning, a media system, a snorkel, an extra fuel tank (90 x 2 = 180 l), a sun visor and a winch were also added. The load capacity of Sadko Next in the version with two-row cab and factory winch is 1860 kg.
The GAZ Trackmaster is certified according to Australian safety regulations and approved for use on public roads. A six-seater SUV will cost 98,500 local dollars in Australia, in terms of our money at the current exchange rate, which is 6,015,000 rubles.
