At the AutoExpo-2023 exhibition opened in New Delhi (India), Suzuki showed the eVX compact crossover concept. This is the first electric car introduced by Suzuki.
The dimensions (length, width, height) are respectively 4300 x 1800 x 1600 mm. For example, the new crossover is slightly longer and higher than the Vitara.
All-wheel drive eVX is equipped with an electric drive system, the capacity of the traction battery is 60 kW.hours, power reserve on a full charge – 550 km.
The automaker isn’t ready to reveal all the details surrounding the concept vehicle, but says it combines Suzuki’s “strong 4×4 DNA” with the benefits of modern electric vehicles. The car is shaped like a compact crossover with an instantly recognizable front end, short overhangs and muscular wheel arches.
It is known that Suzuki recently signed an agreement with Canadian company Inmotive to co-develop a two-speed gearbox that will be used in Suzuki’s future electric vehicles.
The aim of the joint effort is to increase the range of an electric vehicle by improving the efficiency of the powertrain. Whether this new EV transmission will be included in the production version of the eVX remains to be seen.
