On car registration plates in Russia, only those letters are used that appear in both Cyrillic and Latin. There are only 12 such letters: A, B, E, K, M, H, O, R, C, T, Y, X (the letter Y is conventionally seen as corresponding to the letter Y).
According to the provisions of the Vienna Convention, cars must either have numbers consisting of Latin letters and Arabic numerals, or double inscriptions in the Latin alphabet.
In Russia, in addition to numbers and letters, the flag of Russia and the inscription RUS are located at the bottom of the license plate and at the top the code designation of the region of the country where the car is registered.
