Rain in winter always brings a lot of problems. And they are connected not only with the slippery road, when the temperature drops, but also with the car itself.
If the car has been standing in a puddle, water will penetrate the brake mechanisms, rubber seals and joints between moving parts.
Therefore, after such a ride, it is better to dry the brake pads with several active braking cycles. It is enough to press the brake pedal firmly two or three times to warm up the brake pads, drums and discs. The water will evaporate and there will be nothing to freeze.
The most unpleasant thing happens when a car enters the parking lot with wet brakes. In this case, when freezing, the ice can block the brake pads and immobilize the car.
To thaw the brakes, spill them with warm water.
