PJ went to Ammo NYC detailing studio for a thorough cleaning and running of the 87 year old engine with the help of the chief mechanic. Later this car will be offered for sale.

It was the largest budget car on the market and consumed significantly less fuel than the competition. Over 350,000 Plymouth PJ units were sold and one ended up in a garage in 1983

This 1935 Plymouth PJ hasn’t been moved since. However, the host of the video above calculated that the car has not been properly washed and cleaned longer than it has been in storage, which is 43 years.

Classic pre-war Plymouth was, of course, in a deplorable state. The current owners wanted to restore it to working order and then sell it to a worthy buyer for a thorough restoration. To do this, Ammo NYC got to work and painstakingly fleshed out a rusty four-door inside and out.

This turned out to be a difficult task. The interior has become home to other living creatures over the years resulting in a disgusting state of upholstery.

Once the detailing was done, it was time to get the Plymouth running again. Fortunately, the six-cylinder roared accompanied by experienced mechanic.
