To quickly draw attention to the transport of special services, flashing lights have long been used – red, blue and orange are used to this day. But until the late 1980s you could also encounter a green flash.

It was used on traffic police cars to indicate a car closing off an organized convoy of vehicles.

It was later decided that this color is quite rarely used in practice and that standard red-blue flashing lights are sufficient in such cases.
