The new car is built on the Ark platform and has been given a completely new design language.
A distinctive feature of the new appearance is a frameless radiator grille. Furthermore, the car has narrow headlights and vertical air intakes on the sides of the bumper.
Hidden door handles are exposed and the front and rear fenders protrude above the plane of the doors. The rear bumper has a protruding top rather than a bottom, adding interest to the car’s profile.
The length, width and height of the Changan Lamore are 4770, 1840 and 1440 mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2765 mm. For comparison, the length Toyota Camry is 4825mm, kia K5 – 4905mm, and hyundai Sonata – 4855mm.
The cabin has a huge vertical touch screen with a new generation intelligent interactive system (MTK 8666 chip, 2 GHz 8-core processor with a capacity of 2 trillion calculations per second) with voice control and gesture control.
The car is also equipped with a system to monitor the condition of the driver and passengers, including children.
As for the engine, under the hood is a new generation Blue Whale NE1.5T turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine. The power is 170 hp and the torque is 260 Nm. The fuel is atomized to the finest dust under a pressure of 350 bar. Thanks to these and other systems, as well as a 7-speed dual-clutch robot, the sedan’s fuel consumption is only 5.99 liters per 100 km.
The cost of Changan Lamore has not yet been disclosed.
