Restoration completed snowplow TUM-975, which was popularly nicknamed “Worker”. Such machines for public facilities were produced from 1963 to 1980 at the Krasny Put Moscow Mechanical Plant.

Ultra-compact machines were actively used for street cleaning in Moscow and other cities, especially in the station areas. In total, about 750 units were produced, less than ten cars are currently preserved.

This particular car served the public facilities of the Vologda Oblast and was retired in the late 1990s. The restoration of TUM-975 was completed thanks to the efforts of the museum restorers and the repair team of the workshop based on the Sokolniki Carriage Repair and Construction Plant (SVARZ).

The car has a Moskvich-407 (later 408) engine. It is placed transversely behind the rear wall of the cab and, thanks to the liquid cooling system, helped to heat it.

Depending on the season, sweeping or snow removal equipment was installed on the TUM-975.

At the end of 2024, the car will enter the permanent exhibition of the museum in the garage of Konstantin Melnikov at 27 Novoryazanskaya Street.
