The share of cars in the mass segment reached 89% and topped the list of the most popular cars among legal entities and entrepreneurs: Lada Granta, Kia Rio and Lada Vesta. Such data is provided by experts from VTB Leasing based on sales statistics for 11 months of 2022.

Most common corporate companies bought sedans – 42% of all transferred cars and SUVs/crossovers – 39%.

21% of all leased cars were bought by customers in Moscow, 7% – from St. Petersburg, Krasnodar and Rostov-on-Don 3% each.

Most Demanded Top Brands in Industry (Percentage of Total Mass Car Transfers):

  • Lada – 31.5% (+12% compared to November)
  • Kia – 14.7% (-6%)
  • Renault-8% (-0.5%)
  • Hyundai – 8% (-4.2%)
  • Halal – 7.8% (+6.5%)
  • Cherry – 4.6% (+3.9%)
  • Volkswagen – 4.6% (-6.5%).

Premium

The share of premium cars on business parks fell from 20% to 11%.

Leadership transferred to Mercedes-Benz (31.1% of all premium passenger cars transferred to legal entities and entrepreneurs; +10%).

The share of former leader BMW fell by 3.7% to 26.7%. Third place belongs to Audi (10%), whose share of the total number of gears also fell by 1%.


Experts note that since dealers of brands from the US, Europe and Japan who left Russia have practically sold out their stocks, now all the attention of industrial estates is focused on products from China.

Here the share of cars from the Middle Kingdom has already reached 10%, for comparison: in the whole market – 30%.
