In winter, and especially with snowfall and thaw, the car quickly gets covered in mud. In addition to dirt, reagents, salt and other substances enter various cavities of the car, causing corrosion of the body and chassis elements. Auto expert Jim Dvorak recommends winter visit a car wash at least once every two weeks to wash the dirt off the body. Or when your swallow gets particularly sick from the weather.
Some car washes have additional features. For example, you can wash the underside of the car. Of course at an additional cost. Dvorak recommends ordering such a sink from time to time.
If you’re concerned about your car’s paint, never go to an automated car wash with huge spinning brushes. The expert called such pits “tunnels of horror.” Over time, these brushes can damage the paintwork and leave your car with millions of tiny scratches.
