The incident occurred on December 12, where the company Alfa Stroy Invest built the houses of the Kirovsky residential complex. According to the preliminary report of the investigation, the boom of the tower crane tilted during the lifting of the reinforced concrete slabs, the crane fell on the trucks from a height of about 42 meters.
The 56-year-old crane operator, who was in the cabin as a result of the fall, died at the scene. Two other workers, aged 38 and 28, were injured of varying severity and were hospitalized.
A criminal case was initiated under Part 2 of Art. 216 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of safety rules resulting in the death of a person as a result of negligence during construction work), investigations are ongoing.
