In Vladimir, where the last new trolleybus was purchased more than 10 years ago, they decided to upgrade their fleet by purchasing six new cars.
But ponly one Avangard trolleybus was purchased. The contractor delayed the order for so long that the mayor of Vladimir canceled the contract.
The reasons for the delay were later revealed. It turned out that many key components of the Avangards are produced in the west.
Due to sanctions, it was not possible to purchase front and rear axles, which were made in Germany by ZF. Air conditioners for trolleybuses were also made in Europe. While the manufacturer was refocusing on China, the customer canceled the contract due to delivery delays, leaving the regional center for 350,000 people with one new trolleybus.
