If for the New Year you decide to decorate your house not with artificial, but with live spruce, then you need to know a few basic rules, including how to properly transport this Christmas tree. Failure to comply with traffic rules during transport threatens with a fine, warned the lawyer of the European Legal Service Yulia Tsyn.
In particular, punishment can be obtained if the edges of the Christmas tree protrude beyond the dimensions of the car, there is no corresponding sign on it, and in the dark – lighting.
The lawyer also advised asking the seller for documents to avoid allegations of illegal logging.
The fact is that if a traffic police inspector stops you with a Christmas tree in the car, he may need documents on completely legal grounds. For illegal logging, damage to forest plantations or unauthorized felling of trees in forests, a fine of five thousand rubles threatens (Article 8.28 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).
According to the SDA Clause 23.2. the driver is obliged to check the placement, attachment and condition of the load before starting and while driving to prevent it from falling and hindering traffic on the road.
