The Russian company KamAZ plans to start a full-scale production of K5 trucks with independent components from supplies from hostile countries at the beginning of next year. About informs Russian government website.

“From February 2023, it is planned to achieve full-scale production of K5 generation trucks using components that are not dependent on supplies from hostile countries,” the report says.

It was noted that at the moment KamAZ produces about 150 trucks of the new generation K5. The new generation K5 vehicles with low fuel consumption and increased cabin comfort appeared in 2019. The KAMAZ-54901 mainline tractor became the flagship of the K5 line.

But the head of the press service of the company, Oleg Afanasiev, denied this information, saying that KamAZ is supplied with both engines and other components for the production of trucks of each generation, including gas vehicles.
