As previously reported by Za Rulem, Russian and Belarusian engineers will develop the so-called “union car” in the coming years.

As planned, the car will be electric, and one of the important conditions is the maximum localization on the SZAO Belgy in the Republic of Belarus.

AVTOVAZ is considered a technological partner, and the electric version of Largus, which, by the way, has yet to master the Russian car factory Lada Izhevsk, can become the basis for the new model.

But, perhaps, the basis of the car will be completely different. Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Piotr Parkhomchik said that in addition to the ongoing negotiations with AVTOVAZ, he has planned a trip to Tatarstan where issues of car production will be discussed.

  • A start-up KAMA is based in Tatarstan, which takes care of the full production of Atom electric vehicles at the Ford plant in Naberezhnye Chelny.
  • “Behind the Wheel” can be seen on RuTube.
