“When the temperature rises above this value, tread wear increases very sharply many times over. An increase in temperature of almost any degree (above +5 °C) increases wear by about ten percent,” he explained.
Zimanov added that it is better to replace studded tires much earlier, as they are effective on icy roads and contact with clean asphalt worsens the braking properties.
“Tires do not like direct sunlight very much, it has a detrimental effect on them, so if you put them on the balcony, it will quickly disable them. It can be stored in a garage, and service stations now offer tire storage services. If you replace tires with rims, it is desirable to store the tires in a horizontal position, if the tires are without rims, it is possible in a standing position, ”added the expert.
