In the capital, a change in the cost of parking in the city center is expected. Moscow Deputy Mayor Maxim Liksutov spoke about this in an interview with Moscow 24.

Parking prices in the capital may go up or down, the deputy mayor noted, citing a rate change formula introduced by Moscow City Hall in 2013.

This means that the city council is guided by the principle that parking in places with an occupancy rate of 85% and more will become more expensive.

“At the end of the year, we will analyze all paid parking spaces according to this understandable formula, and with a surplus of more than 85%, the rate will increase, but at the same time the maximum parking rate. the level of 450 rubles will not rise,” said Liksutov.

If the street is lightly loaded, parking costs on it can be reduced.

The deputy mayor emphasized that streets with less traffic can be transferred to a cheaper fare category.

It was also announced that on November 4 and 5 (holiday) parking in Moscow will be free on all streets, including in areas with a higher rate. But on November 6, parking lots operate at the Sunday rate – free everywhere, except in streets with a fixed price of 380 rubles and 450 rubles per hour. Parking with barrier is paid every day.
