Ten enterprises in the Kursk region are ready to start producing the parts necessary for the production of Lada cars at the AVTOVAZ production facilities. That’s what Governor Roman Starovoit said. The head of the region notes that he has had discussions with the car factory management about the supply of components to the conveyor.
Foreign suppliers have left the market, our task is to take advantage of this moment so that the enterprises in the Kursk region can supply parts for the entire line of cars produced by AvtoVAZ, the Kursk newspaper quotes Gorodskie Izvestia Starovoit.
According to the governor, ten companies in the region have expressed their willingness to manufacture products for AVTOVAZ. In the near future, the management of these companies will host the negotiations with representatives of the car factory. It is not yet known which specific parts will be produced.
In June, the manufacturer of car seats for Renault cars, which were produced at AVTOVAZ, left Russia; the factory of the Turkish manufacturer was located in the Ulyanovsk region. Governor Aleksey Russkikh noted that there were 19 enterprises in the Ulyanovsk region that had previously supplied products to the AVTOVAZ conveyor.
