The new guide to the average cost of spare parts, on the basis of which OSAGO payments are calculated, has been prepared taking into account the prices of analogues of original spare parts. This decision was made after a number of car manufacturers left Russia.

According to the Russian Union of Motor Insurance (RSA), the change in the average cost of spare parts was insignificant. At the same time, the increase in the average cost of spare parts compared to versions of this guide compiled before some car manufacturers left the market is still at the level of 29%.

“In September, there were many concerns that the ability to take into account the prices of analogues of original spare parts would lead to a significant reduction in prices in telephone directories. Today we see that it is within 3%. At the same time, the number of positions in the directory, for which the average price was formed taking into account the prices of analogues, practically did not increase, so the decrease is mainly due to the emergence of new supply channels for spare parts. The guide, which came into effect on September 19, indicated an increase in the cost of spare parts, but within the same 3%. As a result, the prices in this guide have de facto reverted to the guide’s average prices, which came into effect on June 19 and showed a 29% increase in spare parts costs. This is fully in line with the assessment of the situation with spare parts prices by automotive experts,” said Evgeny Ufimtsev, executive director of the PCA.

Recall that the increase in the cost of spare parts was taken into account based on the results of the two months in which the jump took place – April and May 2022. After that, according to experts, the spare parts increased by 30%.
